It’s that time of year – you know, the one filled with Christmas movies and hot chocolate and presents and lots of joy? Sadly, for too many families with a child in the NICU, the holiday season is wrought with sadness and stress. Longing for normality, longing for health, longing for the holidays in the comfort and security of their own home.
When we launched The Pink Zebra Club we set out this year with the goal of fulfilling items from the NICU wish list on two special occasions, the first being Olivia’s first birthday on April 24, and the second being the holiday season.
In large part due to the overwhelming support we’ve received from friends and family this year, we delivered boxes upon boxes of wish list items to the NICU at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester.
